Kendra's Kreations Photography | A Dusty Blue Event

A Dusty Blue Event

For a while now I have had a goal in my career to plan a styled shoot. Several months ago Lila, owner of Love and Bloom Flower Farm, and I decided to take the plunge and go for it. We have been planning colors, looks, locations etc for this special day. We also had the pleasure of asking so many other AMAZING vendors to be a part of our day. Our bride, Susy, from Mexico and our groom, Alejandro, from Spain was excited to be a part of this event since their recent marriage in Mexico. We thought we would make their American wedding experience one to remember.

Their day began early as she went to her first apointment at Starry Eyes Studio with the talented Jacquelyn Abrams. Here she gave our bride a full set of lash extentions. I had the privilege of watching some of this and it's such a tedious job that takes patience and a lot of hard work. After her set of lashes (which I am now dying to get, they are amazing!!!) it was time for makeup. Jacquelyn has been a makeup artist for several years now (even doing my makeup for my own wedding) and truly pays attention to every detail making it perfect.

Once lashes and makeup was done on our bride we headed over to Creative Styles where Melody Richmond did her hair. We informed Melody what the bridal dress looked like and how long the vail was. She then proceeded to create a beautiful half up half down hairstyle. We then traveled to the beautiful Historic Boone Tavern Hotel where the event would take place. While in their bridal parlor I got to capture lots of beautiful detail shots and the bride and groom getting ready. The captivating hand painted invitations by Tulips & Tea Design made for the perfect backdrop in detials.   During this time many other vendors were showing up with all of their beautiful work. The cake by Batter and Buttercream pulled in our dusty blues and gold colors. The detailed cookies by Sweets and Such added the perfect touch to the cake table and dinner plates.

Lila was designing and styling the reception with her beautiful flowers while we were getting ready for the first look, ceremony, and reception. The bridal bouquet was lush, full and soft with hints of dusty blues and soft greens contrasting the classic white petals-- Italian Cloni Ranunculus, Peonies, Delphinium, Bachelor Buttons, Queen Anne's Lace and Silver Drop Eucalyptus foliage wrapped in hand-dyed silk ribbons. These contrasted perfectly with the A-Line bridal gown from The White Dress in Lexington. It's intricate lace bodice and chiffon under soft flowing tulle is an effortless romantic. The tablescape she designed had blue candles nestled among finely textured silver Artemisia, overflowing Curly Kale and delicate Queen Anne's Lace brought a fullness and intimate setting to the dinner table.

All of the small details created by so many vendors (listed below) helped make this day one to remember! I hope you love this preview of this stunning day!
