Iqra and Zeeshan both recently graduated from Med School and started wonderful jobs in Vegas where they now live. The couple had a big wedding celebration in Vegas with many friends and family who attended. Being a Pakistani wedding there were many traditions and events that were involved in the marriage ceremony.
I recently had the honor of capturing their wonderful reception that was held at the Embassy Suites in Lexington Kentucky. The day was filled with elaborate details, florals and amazing events. Every guest that arrived was greeted with a rose and they all were dressed in the most stunning, formal attire. The brides gown was jaw dropping! It weighed over 20 lbs. with detailed beading from head to toe.
The evening began with photos of the guest, followed by a grand entrance of the bride and groom. Once Iqra and Zeeshan entered they shared their first dance together and was joined midway through by both of their parents.
After the dances it was time to enjoy an authentic Pakistani meal. It was a large spread of food that gave every guest many options. While most of their food is on the spicy side, I did manage to find some sweeter rice that I fell in love with.
After the meal a fun game was played with the couple followed by beautiful speeches from loved ones to the couple. This part of the day was filled with happy tears and lots of laughter. After guest mingled with the couple it was time for the amazing entertainment. There were several belly dancers that danced with swords, material and even lights at one point! It had the whole audience, including myself in aw. At the end of the evening each family got a gift of Tahoora wrapped in a elegant gold box to take home.
I am so honored I got to be apart of my first Pakistani reception. Seeing the beautiful culture and traditions is something I will never forget! The beautiful reception, people and culture made for a wonderful evening. I hope you enjoy a few of my favorite photos from the day and the full gallery will be linked soon for everyone to get their images!
A big thanks to some of the amazing vendors:
